ABOUT MAXIN EARTHWORKS

Maxin Earthworks was founded in 2026 by Nicole and Mike Maxin, a husband-and-wife team with deep roots in Southwest Washington. Nicole has lived in the Chehalis area her entire life, while Mike is an Olympia native. Together, they are proud to be building their business and raising their young daughter in the Adna community they call home. Their goal in starting Maxin Earthworks was to build a company founded on hard work, reliability, safety, and quality workmanship—while providing customers with the personal service and accountability that comes with working with a locally owned business.

Nicole serves as the Office Manager and oversees the day-to-day business operations behind Maxin Earthworks. A 2023 graduate of Centralia College, Nicole holds a Bachelor of Applied Science degree in Business Management. Her background in business helps keep the company organized and running efficiently, from customer communication and scheduling to project coordination and the administrative side of the business. As one of the owners, she is committed to making sure every customer receives clear communication, professional service, and a positive experience from the first conversation through completion of the project.

Mike is the Owner-Operator of Maxin Earthworks and brings more than 10 years of experience in the excavation industry. Throughout his career, he has worked for a variety of employers and held multiple roles, including boom crane truck driver and equipment operator. That experience has given him a strong understanding of excavation work, heavy equipment operation, and the challenges that can arise on a job site. He has successfully set thousands of concrete septic tanks using a 20-ton boom crane without incident and has extensive experience safely operating heavy equipment and working around it.

Mike's experience goes beyond simply operating equipment. He understands how soil behaves when excavated or subjected to force and how those conditions can affect the safety and efficiency of a project. Over the years, he has worked on countless projects of varying size and complexity, evaluating each job and determining the safest and most efficient way to complete the work. His experience and ability to work safely and efficiently led to him being requested on numerous occasions to serve as the equipment operator on job sites. That same hands-on experience is now brought to every Maxin Earthworks project.

Together, Nicole and Mike bring complementary strengths to Maxin Earthworks—business management and organization on one side, and more than a decade of hands-on excavation experience on the other. They believe customers deserve honest communication, careful planning, safe work practices, and quality results. As a local, family-owned company, they take pride in every project they complete and in building a reputation they can stand behind for years to come.

“We look forward to working with you on your next project and the opportunity to become a trusted part of your plans. At Maxin Earthworks, we hope to build more than successful projects—we want to build lasting personal and professional relationships with the customers and communities we serve. We are grateful for the opportunity to earn your business, trust and look forward to working with you.”
